I drew the characters my sister and I play in D&D, So much fun. Also tried some simplified cartoony characters. I have a hard time simplifying anatomy, and figuring out what I can leave out, so these are good practice.
It just occured to me... if the axe is being weilded from the right side (hence the heavier armour on his left side)... shouldn't he be holding it the other way?
... nevermind. They're posing. >.> EVERYTHING IS FINE.
He is right handed, so it's on the left side of his body. Obviously, something has surprised and / or threatened them, and he he stood this way to block Jule from harm.
